"Winx Club is a show that I hold very close to my heart. I grew up with the the characters, with the world. I found everything about the show magical - and it scratched this itch of whimsy that I could not find elsewhere.

As I grew older, there wasn't another show that stayed at the forefront of my mind the way Winx Club did. It turns out, I was not alone. Many people who grew up with the original show - who are now adults - have a very special relationship with it. 

​

I always have been a fan of high-fantasy and sci-fi. I have read many books, consumed many movies, and even went on to study animation and write essays about magic and fantasy at university. I began to have ideas about a potential re-write project intermittently over the course of many years, but i'd say what finally spurred me to begin the project was the release of 'Fate: The Winx Saga'.

I looked forward to the show, but was honestly quite disappointed by the first season. I finally decided share my adaptation ideas with the world and thus, the project was born.

The Winx Chronicles is a six-book high fantasy epic. It aims to rewrite the story of season one through three and first movie through the lens of adult science fiction and fantasy. It is a complete re-imagining of the show but it still aims to preserve the themes, messages and iconography of the original and expand upon them. I feel that this is a very important project with me, and i'm hoping that the winx community can trust me enough to give this story a chance.
